places to travel for young single women?

I want to travel this summer, but will likely not have anyone to go with me. So what would be a good place for a young single female (fresh out of school) to travel for a long weekend?
I think you should try a Club Med, full of other single folks, who are sometimes alone as well. Or, you could go to a city, like NYC—so much to do that you won't have time to think about being there alone.

If you are not looking to hook up with anyone a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas would be excellent. I do not suggest Jamaica because they are very rude to females that do not have the protection of a male. Have fun on your vacation. I love traveling by myself!
