Must travel alone. How to avoid single occupancy charges?
Written by admin on April 24th, 2009
This usually applies to the hotel portion of a package tour, even on cruises too. If a single person occupies the room or cabin, they charge u extra (almost paying for two). I wonder if there are alternatives (B&B's, specific cruises, travel agency…). Help anyone?
If you book a tour and it states double occupency charges apply, then there is nothing you can do. If you simply traveled and got a hotel room yourself without a travel agency or tour package you could get a single rate.

Where is a good place for a single woman to travel to if money is not an issue?

from the US to overseas that is. Main concern is safety and having fun alone.
Let's SEE! (That means I'm THINKING!!) "overseas"?
That leaves out Canada! And, Mexico! That's NOT "overseas"! How about Great Britain? Or Australia? Maybe Hawaii? But I don't know how YOU want to DEFINE "overseas"!!! Cuba might be 'overseas', but I would have doubts about the 'safety' factor!!!
I 'gather' that you are trying to use someone else's EXPERIENCE as a 'reference'!
My sister just came back from a TOUR of the "HOLY LAND", and she is making plans for another 'tour', NEXT year! But, even SHE had some things to 'say' about 'SAFETY'…
How about the Philippines? I TALK to 'someone' from one of the islands… Is THAT a GOOD place? What do YOU want to DO? SEE?
I have an 'ex Brother-In-Law', who is a "FIRST GENERATION" AMERICAN! "I" have known him for WELL-OVER 30 years!!! He still tells everyone that he came from "a small island in Greece!" I went WITH him, when HE got his CITIZENSHIP! HE made me PROUD!!!
WE are BOTH retired now! And HE and I, (inspite of the 'ex-' thing') are still FRIENDS! HE REALLY wants to go to Greece, and VISIT his 'relatives' again! (He has done it before!) I would LOVE to go with him to 'visit' HIS homeland!!! And, he has ASKED me to GO 'with' him! And, I would LOVE to! But, even if the 'PRICE' was right, (and HE is telling me that it is WAY TOO expensive - SO expensive that HE won't go!), I wouldn't want to go 'by myself'!!! HE could SHOW me what LIFE is REALLY like! And, he could ALSO take me to the 'Tourist Spots'! But, going by MYSELF….??? I don't thnk so….
If you are thinking PARIS, or ROME, or…??? Well…. I just don't KNOW what to recommend! I hope you hear from someone who DOES "KNOW"!!!
"I" would feel better taking a 'cruise' to ALASKA (and I would LOVE to do THAT!), but I'm not sure that Alaska would fit into YOUR definition of 'overseas'!
I guess MY biggest ?Question? is 'where' YOU think you can GO, "SAFELY", and have "FUN ALONE"!
I DO hope you get a GOOD answer!!!
places to travel for young single women?
Written by admin on April 11th, 2009
I want to travel this summer, but will likely not have anyone to go with me. So what would be a good place for a young single female (fresh out of school) to travel for a long weekend?
I think you should try a Club Med, full of other single folks, who are sometimes alone as well. Or, you could go to a city, like NYC—so much to do that you won't have time to think about being there alone.
Online insurance companies offer Single trip family travel insurance?
Written by admin on April 8th, 2009
I came to know that Single trip family travel insurance is really something to watch-on before you out on a tour.In India people do purchase health insurance and purchase medical insurance. How good it is to go? I know few reliable companies like ApolloDKV health insurance…but still need to know more
I recommend an online insurance quote. It's free and generally hassle free. http://www.easyautoinsuranceguide.com

is it safe for a single woman to travel to naples?
Written by admin on April 5th, 2009
I am going to Italy alone and want to go to naples but is it safe for a woman traveler?
Like any city in the world, there are places no one should to alone, but women are at no particular risk at virtually all the places you would want to see: Vesivus, Hurculaneum, Capidimonte, Capri, National Museum, lots of other places. Send me an e-mail if you'd like recommendations.

what's the difference between single trip travel insurance and backpacker travel insurance?
Written by admin on March 27th, 2009
am going to LA for 3 months….not backpacking…but it seems to be cheaper (insurancewise)….what's the difference between single trip and backpacker???? and why the price difference???
what should i do?
I've used STA backpacker cover several times. The main differences between that and my current policy are things like repatriation, upper limit of cover( that doesn't change for emergencies) but does affect post op treatment.
Also single trip insurance can be quite restricting. the student policies can be for as much as 24 months.
