Where/When is the Best Place in Europe for Single Men to Travel?

Written by admin on March 30th, 2009

We are 3 friends. All male. All single. All late 20s/early 30s, looking to visit Europe this Spring/Summer. Want to visit places with some culture, great nightlife and where the local girls love American guys. Looking for good bargains in cool places, not luxury resorts that have lots of Americans. Any suggestions as to where & best time to go?

Prague. Very cheap, very beautiful, great nightlife, lots of people speak English and girls are got :)

what's the difference between single trip travel insurance and backpacker travel insurance?

Written by admin on March 27th, 2009

am going to LA for 3 months….not backpacking…but it seems to be cheaper (insurancewise)….what's the difference between single trip and backpacker???? and why the price difference???
what should i do?

I've used STA backpacker cover several times. The main differences between that and my current policy are things like repatriation, upper limit of cover( that doesn't change for emergencies) but does affect post op treatment.

Also single trip insurance can be quite restricting. the student policies can be for as much as 24 months.

I am a single 42 year old female who would like to tavel, just not alone. Are there any good travel web sites or groups for singles. Not looking for a matchmaking service just good travel partners.

Depending on your financial situation, you could try gutsywomen.com. Since you're not looking to "hook up": this is a ladies only travel club. They go all over the world.

Is Venice, Italy a safe place to travel for a single American female?

Written by admin on March 22nd, 2009

I'm interested in going to Venice for a week-long vacation in September or October. I am not fluent in Italian, and am very interested to relax and spend some time in museums and to admire local architecture. Are there certain areas that I should stay away from? Do you have any travel suggestions for me?

I went as a teenager about 13 years ago and fell in love with Venice. It's quite small actually and you'll know your way around within a day. The most pervasive crime is getting pick-pocketed, usually by Gypsies. One of the people I was traveling with almost fell victim but his wife saw what was going on (her parents were from Italy and she spent lots of time there) and broke it up.

Use the same common sense you'd use anywhere else. Don't flash your money, keep your money close to you at all times and tucked securely in a separate compartment in your purse, put your purse strap around your body so it can't slide off your shoulder, pay special attention when in crowds.

As for not speaking Italian, don't worry. In the big cities you'll find plenty of people who are happy to speak English for you. In smaller towns you may have to look harder for someone who speaks English, but if you know any Italian, try a little. It's a show of good faith and Italian people will appreciate it and take their time.

You'll love it. Have fun!

P.S. It's mandatory you try the ice cream (gelato). It's heaven.

Can a single female travel to Saudi Arabia?

Written by admin on March 16th, 2009

I have always been interested in Saudi Arabia and would love to travel there and experience it for myself. Are there any travel companies that offer packages for tourists to see the city and what not?

ok , I’m a saudi girl and u can for sure come for a visit even if u were alone !.. yeah we’re different but it doesnt mean that u have to walk around with a man wherever you go , that is so silly lol .. we have normal lives just like ..
its true , we dont have bars or night clubs , dating is illegal .. but we’re fine with it ..

its good to know someone is interested , as far as i know , everyone hates my country .. so you might not like it because its different

anyways , here’s a list of some travel agents :
Ace Travel
Al-Tayyar Travel Group
Amera Travel Network (ATN) Middle East
Fursan Travels & Tours

and if you’re really coming , you can contact me and i’ll be willing to help .. :)

Is it safe for a single woman to travel to thailand?

Written by admin on March 14th, 2009

I am planning to go to a resort in Koh Phangan, but I am planning to travel there alone. I understand that traveling alone can be risky, but I want to know if there are any women who traveled to thailand alone? Did they feel safe?

It is safe for single women, but I am sure you will find many other single women traveling in Thailand. Things not to do is walk along in unlit areas or on the beach at night. Don't trust anyone who gets too friendly to fast with you. Don't do drugs, don't take a drink from someone you don't know unless it was given to you at the bar. Don't insult a Thai or make him lose face. Also don't insult the King of Thailand or his family. Follow these rules and you will have no problems.
